Wildlands KidZone’s

At Wildlands’ Wild Series events and at the Old Mutual Music in the Gardens concerts in the Durban, Johannesburg and Pretoria Botanical Gardens, Wildlands activate a KidZone, an entertainment and learning area for children. In 2011 Wildlands evolved the KidZone’s to include more environmentally focused activities.  Children can plant seeds, make things out of recyclable materials or learn about endangered species in fun, engaging competitions.  The team hope to evolve this even further in the coming financial year and embed the learning process by introducing take-home activities and games for the children.

Ug cartoons

Together with the Climate Action Partnership (CAP), Wildlands have developed 45 cartoons that reflect the investigations, learning and inspired action of Ug, Jabulani and Suri; three young children trying their best to live more sustainably and reduce the impacts of Climate Change and its inevitable challenges.  This was made possible with funding from the DG Murray Trust. These cartoons have been published weekly in the Sunday Tribune and online on the CAP partner websites.  They are also being distributed via our NGO networks for use in schools across South Africa.
